Finding cheap accommodation in Barcelona is easy if you book early. The best thing to not go overboard with your wallet is a hostel: there are many, and they are often located in the center. What could be better to start the day than to go out the door and find yourself directly on the Ramblas?
These are the characteristics we took into account to draw up our list:
- low price, within € 25 per night;
- central area, a short distance from a metro stop;
- lockers with key included in the price;
- only excellent reviews in terms of cleanliness.
Don't expect to get a seat if you book at the last minute, although it is worth a try, as there is always the possibility of someone canceling their reservation at the last minute.
The prices reported are for high season, but not very high: expect to pay something more if you go in August or for the most important holidays.
Ideal Youth Hostel

L’Ideal Youth Hostel it is located on a side street of the Ramblas, at Plaça Reial, with the Barri Gótico on one side and the Raval on the other, ready to be visited as soon as you leave the hostel.
Impossible to find something more central: for a couple of days you will have something to see without having to take a vehicle. And if you want to take the metro, then the Liceu stop is less than 100 meters away! What can I say, better than that!
The hostel offers beds in mixed dormitories for 10 people for less than € 20 per night, at the same price you can also find dorms for 4 people with private bathroom.
Great if you are in a group, or even if you are traveling alone. There are - as in all the hostels on the list - lockers to store important items in peace. .
Center Hostel

Located in the Raval, 200 meters from the Ramblas, the Center - Ramblas is right in front of the Biblioteca de Catalunya (take the opportunity to drop by, the patio is gorgeous).
The price for a bed in a mixed dorm starts from € 18 per night, with that location it's hard to really ask for more. As if that were not enough it is breakfast also included! Better to book well in advance - this applies to all the structures mentioned - and check availability immediately.
Kabul Party Hostal Barcelona

The Kabul Party Hostal does overlooks Plaça Reial, 200 meters from Ideal Youth.

St. Cristopher’s Inn

The St. Christopher's Inn is located behind one of the most prestigious places to stay in Barcelona: Plaça de Catalunya.
You can reach the sea by walking along the Ramblas, or venture to the Eixample, without having to take any means. Place in mixed dormitory starting from 21 €, really well spent given the location.
Itaca Hostel

Ithaca it is located in the Barri Gótico, about 100 meters from the Cathedral and very close to the entire La Ribera district, with all its museum complex, including the Picasso Museum.
Going down the Via Laietana you will also arrive in Barceloneta in a quarter of an hour, all without taking any means.
If you want to speed up and it is still not very hot then think about renting a bike: in 10 minutes you will have the whole center at your pedal! Ithaca also has absolutely competitive prices: in a mixed dormitory you can get by from € 21 per night.
