Il Barcelona Night Tour Bus is a panoramic bus service operating every weekend during the summertime to Barcelona. The proposed itinerary offers the possibility to see practically all the main attractions of the city at night, such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Milá, the Agbar Tower and the Font Màgica. Operated by the tourist board of the city of Barcelona, the same double-decker buses used for the bus turístic are used for this itinerary.
Barcelona Night Tour Bus itinerary
The itinerary starts from Plaça de Catalunya, to immediately go east towards the Arc de Triomf and Torre Agbar. The route then heads north to the Recinte Moderniste and then to the Sagrada Familia. After having crossed the Passeig de Gràcia (with Casa Milá and Casa Batlló), proceed towards Plaça de Espanya: the bus stops for about 40 minutes to admire the evening show of the Font Màgica. Once back on board, go up towards Montjuïc, passing near the Poble Espanyol, and being able to enjoy a wonderful view over the whole city. Before returning to the starting point, go down along the port, near the Christopher Columbus Monument, and passing by the Cathedral. The itinerary is carried out with the accompaniment of a tour guide, with explanations in English, Catalan and Spanish, but not in Italian.
The buses do not offer protection from rain, a rare occurrence in Barcelona in the summer, but not completely impossible. Keep in mind, if you intend to do the sightseeing on Sunday and are staying outside the city center, that the metro closes at midnight, so it may be possible not to return in time to catch the last ride.
The Barcelona Night Tour Bus is available in the summer, from the first week of June to the last week of August, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The departure is scheduled at 21:30 pm from Plaça de Catalunya, in front of the Corte Inglés building, but you must arrive a quarter of an hour early. In any case, it is better to arrive earlier if you want to have the best seats, however access to the panoramic floor is guaranteed for everyone. The duration of the route is about 2 and a half hours.
The cost of the ticket for adults, from 13 years, is 19€. Children from 4 to 12 years old pay a reduced rate of 10 €. Finally, access for children under 4 is free. Self buy your ticket online, you can take advantage of a 10% discount on the final price. Given the limited number of seats available, it is advisable to make a reservation in advance. If you buy online, the voucher is exchanged directly on the bus; if you want to try to buy the ticket at the last moment, you can try going to the tourist office in Plaça de Catalunya the same day.
