St. George's British School: what do users think?

Chris Oursbourn: We have two children that attend St. George and they both absolutely love it! The school prioritizes high level academics and balances that with wonderful staff members to help the children thrive. Both of our children are loved and cared for by the teachers and leaders of the school. They feel safe, seen and heard. They also are helping to grown their knowledge and learn both school skills and life skills. We believe that this school has been one of the best things that helped our children adjust so well with living internationally. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bilingual school in Barcelona.

Brandi Carrano: We are so grateful to have found St. George. After many years in Barcelona and 2 different schooling situations, we have found a place where all 3 of our children can thrive. The teachers are caring and treat the students as individuals while having high expectations for their growth. The leadership is FOR the students success, both personally and academically. The families are overall friendly, involved and diverse. Highly recommend this school to any international or local family looking for a school home.

Marinela Bendz: Upon choosing school for our 3 & 5yr old, we visited 14 schools in Barcelona, and this was the school that made us feel true love and care for the children. And now that we have started and been there for 6 months, we are so happy our guts were right. The teachers are amazing and our kids are so happy to go to school every single day. Thank you St. George, the amazing teachers and great management of this school, all employees seem so happy and energised to meet the kids every morning with a big smile. We appreciate you!

Ирина Кочубинская: I want to tell you about my experience of communicating with this school. A child of 6 years old, can read fluently like an adult, write, count three-four-digit numbers, solve problems and examples, knows the multiplication table, was invited to a trial day at this school so that the management could make a decision on admission to the first grade. The level of knowledge of the child corresponds to the third grade of the Spanish school. The child does not have fluent spoken English, as he lived in another country. English. At the end of the trial day, the director in a harsh and incorrect form said that the child was not fit for school, he asked a lot and did not listen to the teacher. I do not recommend this school to anyone, in which the slogan on the site reads "Every child matters" As I understand it if a child interferes with a lesson, does not sit quietly, he does not belong in this school

monia ougarram: Like a parents and family, we are very pleased with this school from the head teacher to professors and all the rest of the staff, my boy goes so happy every day and have learned English so well by far! This school is one of the best here in Barcelona and we really recommend it for all the families that are looking for a good school for their kids academically and personally.

David M: Three years of great experience with 2 kids in Early Years.

EMI LANE: great school great teachers very pleasant enviroment they get the best out of the students

Princess Margaret School: what do users think?

Carma Ayuso CLemente: I love working here, it is a great school with great values! Children are very well behaved and they are always supported, inspired and challenged by their teachers. If I had to choose a school it would definetelly be Princess Margaret International School!
Response: Thanks for your opinion. We love working with the best professionals, for the full development of our students.

Caye aez: Excellent school in Barcelona. The good quality of the teachers and the very friendly environment. The curriculum is very complete and the students grow very well. It is also a very good school to prepare for the IB exams.

Jose Espinola: I came to visit the school last year and I found it very welcoming and with facilities that, although small, are very well used and with great pleasure. The attention was excellent and the explanation of his international educational project was very interesting. Due to family logistics, in the end we have not been able to, but I would not hesitate to belong to the school as a family. Thank you for the treatment received, you have an exemplary program and the values that you prioritize seem to me to be the most important in the new generations: an open and tolerant mentality, a critical spirit and a high level of English to be able to communicate with the entire planet. We will be in contact for the future if our situation changes, we will count on your project.

Carla Hernandez: I can only give good references to Princess Margaret School. The level of English that the children acquire is impressive, as well as the educational project in accordance with the IB philosophy that focuses on the autonomy of the student and instilling values that I consider basic for my children, such as integrity and solidarity, among others. In addition, the family treatment of all the school staff with the students is exquisite. I recommend it 100%!

Enric Buhigas González: When I came to visit the school I was impressed by the educational project that they showed me. I was looking at various centers and Princess Margaret seemed to me to definitely meet my expectations. They have an educational project that focuses on the autonomy of the students, on being self-sufficient and thinking. The level of English when you walk around the school is impressive and the students speak it as their own language. The classes invite exploration and on the walls you can see a representation of what the students learn. It definitely seems to me a school with very well-trained teachers, with an educational project guided by the IB organization that is brilliant, and above all, the human quality in the relationship between teachers and students is noticeable. It caught my attention that the director knew all the names of the students and that showed me that being a small school allows a closeness between adults and students that other centers do not have. Very grateful for the visit and I definitely think I will make the best choice.

Francisqueta Sánchez Oriol: We were looking for a school that offered the IB method in primary school, for us it is essential that our children are educated in a trilingual school, with international projection. Some friends recommended that we visit the PMIS, in the neighborhood of Horta ... We loved it! They offer, the international program IB. The first two years of kindergarten with 100% English in class. The two people who attended to us answered all the questions, which were not few and showed us the school in the middle of the activity schedule, which is how the day-to-day reality is better seen and how the security measures that require this time. During the visit, they showed us from the corridor (not to interrupt at any time), a class they were giving, it also coincided that we passed a music class and then looking at them from the windows saw students, playing in the yard. The outdoor facilities have different patios that are divided into several recreation areas and an outdoor pool. The whole school is very well cared for and as it is not a very big school, it gives it a very special close and family charm. We found what we wanted and we are happy!
Response: Thank you very much for your opinion Francisco. We are glad to know that you felt well cared for when visiting the school. We will be at your disposal whenever you need it. Communication between school and family is the pillar of our mission, the full development of our students, both personally and academically. Thank you for your feedback and welcome to the Princess Margaret International School family.

esther camos: My experience at the Princess has been very positive. It is a school in which students learn human values, without forgetting the academic part in which they achieve a good level. Not to mention the level of English with which they come out that allows them to face any future challenge. Very advisable.

Sandro: Delighted. We were looking for a family and trilingual school. The best option we have found. I am a former student of another international school and I have never seen that the students are so happy. They do not want to leave and apart from the training they learn values. If you are looking for a small school with family treatment, it is the right one. If large installations are preferred (not for that reason better), then it is not the option. It is a matter of tastes and profiles of each child. I recommend it because it has been our choice and we are happy. Another positive point is the opinion of the former students, which so far have only been positive.

Escuela Internacional (IB®) Zürich Schule Barcelona: what do users think?

Yumi Sakuma: Education is one of our most important life priorities for our children. We are extremely pleased with Escuela Internacional Zürich Barcelona. It is an extension of our family house, where culture and values are aligned. Our children are treated, educated as one and each with his/her personalities and potential. They are not numbers. They are citizens, human beings being prepared for life and living.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, Denise. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. We stay working to develop in our educational duty, this is how we have been for over 50 years offering a great project! Thanks again!

raquel serrano: It is a friendly school with many linguistic opportunities. All German teaching staff are native. The quality of its teaching is based on collaboration and teamwork in small groups and an ongoing evaluation. The school puts emphasis on integrating important 21st century skills in their academic programs. There are also support German lessons for the kids, provided by the school, if your child does not come from a German speaking background.
Response: Thank you very much for your answer, Raquel! We continue working to improve day by day! This is how we have been for 50 years and we continue to persevere thanks to your support! Your review helps us a lot; thank you very much from the heart!

Matthias Schneider: Small, family run School with decades of experience providing a solid curriculum (largely based on Swiss system) in mainly German - though other languages are taught early on too. Humanistic approach and with increasing project based work methodology.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, Matthias. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. We stay working to develop in our educational duty, this is how we have been for 50 years offering a great project! Thanks again!

Lluis Pegueroles: Best school in Barcelona
Response: Thank you very much, Lluis... nice to know that the work we do every day makes families and children feel like home... 👍👏🏼👏🏼

INDIO & PIA: Best possible teachers!!!

Germano Guggino: It is a school where there is a high academic level and at the same time the children receive family attention. Multiculture is everyday life. The teaching and administrative staff are always available and friendly to answer any questions.

Stefanie: Family business run with heart. Keep it up! Family and personal atmosphere. A good and nice school with really motivated teachers.

Natalia Garcia: Exceptional school that takes care of both the knowledge and the training of people. The school collaborates with the parents as a team to accompany the student, and they have a well-sized psycho-pedagogical team. As a plus, children learn several languages from the age of 3 (German, English, Spanish and Catalan) but the best thing is that they seem calm and relaxed.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, Natalia. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. We stay working to develop in our educational duty, this is how we have been for over 50 years offering a great project! Thanks again!

Mariona Bessis: Zürich is a great school that imparts great values and has a great staff of teachers that make up a great family. I remember with immense affection my time in Zürich, in which I was extremely happy and, without a doubt, all the values learned during this stage of my life, such as effort, work habit and respect, among many others, have accompanied throughout my training and my way of being, laying the foundations of the person I am today. I would repeat my experience in this very special school without hesitation. Also, to highlight as a distinctive aspect the high level of German, which to this day, being on the verge of starting my professional career, is still highly valued. Languages are essential more than ever and a good level of German is a highly valued asset in the professional world, especially considering the complexity of the language and the scarcity of people who speak it.
Response: Hello, Mariona! What a great illusion to hear from you and that, based on your review, everything is going so well for you!! You do not know the strength that your writing gives us to continue day by day with our work! It is an honor for us to have had you among us during all these years. Thank you very much for your comments and the fantastic evaluation you give us. As indicated, in these complicated and convulsive times, there is no better vitamin than the one you just sent us! A thousand thanks and many regards to the entire Bessis family! Hug!

Juliana Pometti: We are more than happy with the Zurich school. Our son has adapted very well and has had the support and understanding of the entire teaching staff.

Kensington School: what do users think?

Victor Sze: We really doubt whether the administrative teachers for their Junior ( early yeas pupils management) could be professional and responsible enough to maintain every pupils secure in the school. My son had studied at this school for almost two years for primary study, the early years pupils study is named junior there, in fact for the teachers who are in charge of teaching are attentive to the kids, though their age are a little bit elder . But for the teachers who are in charge of administration of Junior , I don’t think they are enough responsible for the pupils, because recently there were three unhappy incidents continuously happened to my son by the same boy , according to the related definitions of education department, if some unkind incidents continuously and repeatedly happened during period, it could be defined as school bullying, in addition, as the comments of the teaching teacher of my son’s class , that boy in one day by the morning and afternoon had created two very unkind behaviour towards my son , after that we tried to communicate with those administrator of junior , but they reply us as these were “minor conflicts “, so ridiculous that in one school even there were two absolutely opposite judges to one thing, possibly those administrators teachers always think everything could be ignored if only every pupils could be “happy” actually stable in their school. Please allow me say that if they truly want to make the kids healthy study and grow up in their school, they should facing the problem seriously and seek more effective communication between different parties instead of always intend to obstruct the communication. Finally under they so called “responsible management “ , at the same day by the morning that administrative teacher reply me “ everything are resolved “ but ridiculously by the afternoon, my son’s head was pushed over and bumped his head on the hard ground, and even no one phone call notification, we just know he was hurt the head after class from the mouth of my son. Above was the real experience of our family in this school , the indifferent attitude of their administrative teachers is very desfavorable to their management qualities and sometimes it would increase the risk to the kids , the only way for us to stop the continuing “accidents “ is changing the school for my son !

梁小鸣: This is the international school that should be the worst one I have met in Barcelona, at least for the level of administration for Junior pupils . My grandson was studying in their junior school, and this term that administrative teacher of Junior required all the early years pupils who were only 6-7years old to change their uniforms frequently in one day , it meant that the kids must bring at least two o three suits of uniforms to school and must change them during the one same day two o three times , even in the cold winter . Their reason for this requirement was help the kids to develop the responsibility earlier. The problems began to appear, firstly they asked the children to change uniforms but there weren’t enough facilities to them, because the school is so small that absolutely there aren’t the formal changing rooms for the kids, what’s more, there weren’t enough teachers arranged to monitor and help the kids to change their clothes securely. As result of these , one day while my grandson was changing his uniform in that small room , one of his classmates tricked him as the form of turning off the light of room and close the door, my grandson was blocked in the darkness for almost 5-6 minutes without any help, after that my grandson told me that he was very scary and even cried in darkness because without help in the so-called changing room. If there are not enough facilities, why do let the kids to make this unnecessary changing in one same day? If there are not sufficient teachers to manage , why let the kids to be closed in the darkness? I think the answer only known by that junior administrative teacher who I think is absolutely amateur to work as his position to administer the early years kids.

Weiguang Wei: What a disgusting sanitary situation of such so-called international school, just heard from one of my friends that her son and daughter were studying in that school for Junior study , recently she found her children’s feet and back appearing many red rash that seem to be bitten by lice, meanwhile she received the notification from the school to check if there was the problem of lice for her daughter, she was very angry , and I almost felt disgusting. Why one school appeared the problem of lice and for the first reaction Is to shirk the responsibilities to the pupils ? Why the school can’t think over something for their own sanitary conditions? My friend had discussed with many other parents whose children also have the similar problem of rash , they all can not believe that as one so-called international school has such disgusting sanitary situation that could spawn lice and not to think of their own problem.

Paco Wang: Had seen the related comments about the problem of headlice, my friends’ child also studied at Kensington, they also found their kids had the serios problem of itching, according to mail of school , there are the lice eggs o lice in the kids’ hair , at that moment I also felt very shocked that even there was one school with such bad sanitary condition .

Dmytro Mishchuk: Studied here in 90s.Greeting to all my classmates and teaches.Special greeting to Mr. Paul Edward Giles from student who still remember his jokes after more than 20 years passed.

Fatima Jamshed: Extremely competent teachers and rich in diversity. The best international school in Barcelona.

Spain Onni: Very good teachers and a good level of students even though the school is small.

Ignacio Figueroa: This school is not good at all it is a copy and it is horrible nothing recommended

St. Peter's School, Barcelona: what do users think?

valerio valenti: we could no choice a better school than St Peter for our son, in just one year he is able to speak and understand english (his level was super poor when he started). This was thanks to the amazing teachers really looking after him by always supporting and taking care of him. We really love the atmosphere, the attention and the program followed by the school and also the facilties and extra school activities are on a very high level! My son is so happy to be part of ST Peter because he feel part of something special and the same is valid for us as parents! I would recommend the school to everyone looking for the best school in town !
Response: Thank you, Valerio, for this fantastic review. We are very proud of how much your son improved his English, but above all, we are proud to see him adapted and happy!

Awhxami: Love this school :D´

Manel Unica: Great team. Fantastic place for study.!

Antonia Linde Garcia: My son has participated in the summer camp and it has been fantastic. Both the activities that are carried out and the attention and professionalism of the monitors and teachers are exceptional. I definitely recommend them!
Response: Thank you for your review, Antonia. We hope to see you next course!

Maria Dolores del Carmen Hernandez: For starters, if I could I would give it 0 stars. The school does not listen to the needs of its students, a priority within a center.

Victoria Benito: A school of 10. I went there to do a debate, and the facilities were great. Excellent food and excellent teachers.

English Academy Santa Claus: what do users think?

Isabel Torras Lombana: I visited the school for possible options for my child! We were welcomed and treated as family. The level of English is top notch. I love the attention that they have for each student and the families.

Klea Levin: Great english academy in beautiful safe surroundings. I have had all of my 4 children in this familiar school and their level of English is now excellent. Santa Claus has a 0 tolerance for bullying something I found very important since it is a big problem nowadays, they also had an animal welfare workshop on the schedule. I loved that! The school is trilingual and all classes meet a very high standard. It was easy to communicate with teathers and direction when we had a problem. My kids also loved the food there.

Claire Farwell: The only good thing about the school were the teachers but the best of them left too. The most anti international pro Catalan too small, terrible management that actually abused the children. Discipline is a good thing but the management took it to ridiculous lengths. Be warned!!! As far as zero bullying that is an absolute joke. We experienced it. So many other parents and precious teachers had terrible experiences. I speak on their behalf. Thank goodness we left!!!

D: Beautiful environment, GREAT teachers and TOP management. Only a few students per class, so teachers can focus on the them making sure they get all the attention needed. In my humble opinion, the best english school in town. A great example of professionalism.

Louise Ravelo: High quality educationA great place for students to learn english. The teachers and staff foster a good balance between learning and play. The result is happy, thriving, children that enjoy learning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDE

Go Ticket: Excellent school that I can highly recommend. Familiar feel. Prepared well our children for ESO. High level of English.

Tala Mechache: One of the best school in Barcelona at all levels.

James Morphy: My daughter complains about the teachers.

laura pignataro: Very bad, super old-fashioned way of teaching, English has nothing since they focus on Catalan, small groups yes, but if the child is not the same as the others, they put him aside. Terrible experience with this school, so much so that my son does not want to know anything about them and he is only 7 years old.

Blanca Moreno Silano: I am a student at this school and I find it fantastic, I have made many friends and all the teachers are very kind, highly recommended👍

Sat Polar: Much more than a school. Emotional intelligence, sincere affection for students, positive values, an extension of the family for children.

Mayuri Tagare Mirji: Amazing School! We came to Barcelona with our 4 year old and were overwhelmed about choosing the right school for our kid. Our kid did not speak the language but we needed him to integrate well, the school has played a major role in building confidence in our child 1. Great teachers who observe every minute behaviour of the child and provide timely constructive feedback. 2. Kids are actually taught in three languages. 3. Management is very supportive. 4. Good inhouse facilities (swimming pool, play area etc) 5. Many option for extra curriculars

Alexander Grushvitskiy: Faced bulling here with no reaction of the school. Teacher preferred to keep it quiet. So, I changed the school.

Vera Drishti: Really happy with the school! My daughter just started and she loves it!

Lidija Dedovic: this school is the best, the teachers are exelenti meet so much friends.❤

Helen Koese: Excellent school, very helpful teachers and high academic level.

Anyta Stopu: SUPER
Response: Thanks.

Joaquin Villalonga Gómez: I went for several years from 14 to 17 years old, I studied 2nd, 3rd and 4th of high school, my brother also studied there until Preu and then at Uni. I remember that they put fencing, tennis and basketball as sports, which I played quite well. A good school, back then it was only for boys.

Enrique Hausmann: Highly recommended school for its teaching quality and closeness in dealing with teachers

Toni A.: Familiar, competent and above all stimulating for our children. There is a vocation on the part of the teachers from the first day. My daughter is 6 months old and is very happy at SIL. The level of education is very high, which you will later appreciate for your professional career. They instill values, standards of knowing how to be and respect for others. Very happy and recommended.

Eva MVF: Our daughters study in this school, and we can say that both human treatment and academic level is fantastic. For us, there is no doubt about the involvement of teachers in the development, learning and motivation that students receive. Also highlight the fantastic work done by English-speaking teachers, motivating students, from a very young age. As parents, praise the excellent human treatment always received by the Directorate, Teachers and Staff of the Center. The academic level is very good, and most importantly, my two daughters after 11 years continue to get up happy every morning. Without hesitation, we recommend it 100%.
Response: Thanks Eva for your comment. From Sil School we work so that the education of our children is the best possible and can develop in a human environment surrounded by motivation. Greetings from the SIL School. Concerted trilingual school in Barcelona

Zürich Schule Barcelona (IB®) | International Kindergarten: what do users think?

Sandra Salvat Orella: Very grateful to the Zürich Schule family after 14 years of schooling. The values and the German language were the reasons why we decided on this school. You have far exceeded our expectations. Marc leaves at the age of 16 with a C1 level of German certified by the Goethe Institut (equivalent to Advanced) and good communication skills, thanks to the practice of oral presentations in 4 languages (Spanish, Catalan, German and English). Thanks to all of you who have made it possible ☺️

Esther Prada: Total integration of the German language, excellent teachers, the classes become like a family for the children. My son goes to school happy every day!! You are great!!

Anna Perez: We are very happy with the treatment our daughter has received at the center. The only complaint is that we consider that German should be worked on a lot more. It should be the first language and all the works we have seen are in Spanish and this has disappointed us
Response: Thank you very much for your rating! We would like to clarify that in the children's stage 90% of the school day the teachers always speak in German and it is the usual language in the kindergarten, with the exception of the 3 reading and writing sessions and when they go to the swimming pool. The units of inquiry that are exhibited to share with families are usually done in Spanish; in this way everyone can understand the content and concepts worked on. In any case, we appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve. We must also not forget that all our students graduate with the C1 level of the German language: The Goethe-Zertifikat C1 is a German language exam for adults that accredits a very advanced (native) level and corresponds to the fifth level (C1 ) of the six competences scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Nanni Sackmann: It is a school with a professional level but a humane, close and familiar treatment. Everyone knows who is who and what happens to each one. He has German, Spanish, English and Catalan. Highly recommended!

Alberto Sancho: Few educational centers are better in Barcelona for preschool. My son goes to school happy. Congratulations!!!
Response: Thank you very much for your comment and excellent score, Alberto! As you well know, day by day we work to improve in all aspects, which are not few! We do not know if you are aware of one of the latest news: Zürich Schule Barcelona has been accepted a few days ago as "IB World School applicant school"! It's a big step for our entire community! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support and trust!

Joan Roca: I will always keep a fond memory of this Kindergarten and the efforts they made for my son and the love they gave him. Thanks Anna and company for doing so well.

St. Paul's School: what do users think?

Julie Knox: Fabulous school! Teachers and staff went above and beyond to ease my children with the transition. Beautiful campus. Would definitely recommend.

Eme Terio: How can one appear in a ranking of concerted schools whose fee to parents is greater than €800? It is a real shame that a school like this is supported by public money

Bruno Sanllehí: School that maintains the balance between close, almost familiar treatment and the academic requirement necessary in schools. As a former student I have great memories of both the school and the teachers, maintaining friendship after many years with classmates. Very grateful for everything!

Tatiana Orlovskaya: My two sons have been at this school for 8 years. They love it, me too! Teachers here are enthusiastic about their work and very professional.

Linda Ramirez: Hello everyone if someone reads this message and can help me. I live in the USA and I plan to move to Spain and I wanted to know how much tuition in this school can cost if you can help me please. Thank you

marc sarazin: Liars with the Catalan

Fermín Cuasante: One of the best schools in BCN.

Mariona Serra Caparros: Goodbye

Leny Albredo: A posh school really.

German School of Barcelona: what do users think?

Luis Martin: The German School Barcelona is a private schooling institution located in Esplugues, Barcelona. This private school aims to successfully integrate the German children with the Spanish ones, and these into the German schooling system, so that all pupils are enabled at the conclusion of school to speak both languages vernacularly. They are guided during a 12-year tuition program together, after which they are faced with a final examination named Abitur, which is recognized on a global level. For those who do not succeed or plan on going through the whole preparatory school, secondary or general school systems are also offered. As a current pupil, I can confirm that it is a very effective school and we do host quite a bit of international pupils. The Café we also have is a very great place, and it is open for non-germans.

Frederic Kamp: Very BIG and FUN School. As a STUDENT myself I love it. Been there since I was 3. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ✌🏽

Reenation: The organization is in spite of majority German employees partly to the hair chaotically and embarrassingly inefficient, the communication to the parents is frequent and constant, however very opaque and partly confusing or contentwise deficient - the school itself is however very good and above the German average - our children learn a lot and like to go there. But that also has its price ...

Marc Sebastián Padrós: It is a great school and today it is important to learn German. It is very difficult to get in, as they tend to be very restrictive with non-Germans who they let in.

Cloe Farroni Souto: It is taught very well.

Isabel Garcia: The ideal school in Barcelona to fully integrate into the German language.

Ervin Hernández: great class
