Chocolat Factory Rambla: what do users think?

Dr. Kausthub Desikachar: Without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best places to buy Chocolates in Barcelona. Located in the city centre between Passeig de Gracia and Rambla Catalunya, the Chocolate Factory is a paradise for chocolate lovers. They have all kinds of chocolate from dark, to white, to milk, to those mixed with fruits, nuts and fruits and nuts. They also have a good selection of options for diabetics with Sugar free options as well. The two hardest parts of your experience to this place will be to choose from their wide variety, and also to leave this place. The choices are so vast that it will take you some time to figure out what to buy, and what to leave behind. But by this time, you will have been bathed by that friendly customer services of the delightful ladies there (Teresa and Dolors) and also soaked in the aromatic flavors and smell of the delicacies that you will find it hard to leave. The cost is not low, but definitely not high, and surely worth its price. All of these handmade chocolates not only delight the senses, but will bombard your soul with an array of flavors that will evoke every delightful childhood emotion of yours. The only thing that could give you more satisfaction than these bombons could be a romantic night out with your beloved! But surely you could even make that date night sweeter if you took her a small box of delights from this special store! It is a must visit for all those who live in Barcelona, or visit this great city! A 5 star is the minimum I can offer, and would love to give it more if Google allowed!
Response: Thank you very much for your time in writing this comment. It will be a pleasure to see you again!

Sina M: Tasty and delicous icecream. The ice cream is wih reasonable price.
Response: Thank you Sina!

Brielle Burkett: I found this place while walking down the street and then I went in and it had a chocolate envelope! So then I realize that no one else has a chocolate envelope. So I went back out and said family come here. And so we all went into the store and my parents got some yummy gelato, and me and my siblings got some chocolate. And it was really good 👍🏾
Response: Thank you so much Brielle! We are waiting to see you again!

James Anders: The lady who works at the factory, Justine, is one of the sweetest and most helpful people I have met since I moved to Barcelona. If you’re looking for chocolate you have to go!!
Response: Thank very much James! we share with Justine your comments; she will be glad hearing it!

Tamas Penzes: Really nice place with a lot of different types of fine chocolate. We liked a lot the funny and funky names of the assortments, all with style. Pillar was very kind and helpful and stayed even after opening hours to do all the wrapping we asked for. Both the chocolate and the experience were just great.

Tiberiu Georgescu: Wwwwwwow. The lady who owns this shop has a true passion about chocolat. If you love chocolat like me you might want to take precution before going in, like...set a bugdet or know what you want. The place is incredibly beautiful
Response: thanks!! :)

Geoff Fiedler: We stopped in for a Copa de chocolate and a Madeleine. We made sure to bring home some of their fine crafted chocolate as gifts for the family

Snežana Michaolovskaja: Lovely place, very nice experience! Definitely will come back to try other flavours!

Tim Gallagher: We had an amazing experience here! The aroma of the hot chocolate when you first enter is intoxicating! The port wine and chocolate tasting was worth every penny!
Response: Thank you

Stephen Dwyer: Possibly the best chocolates I have ever tried. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

yong Quan Teo: Best hot chocolate you can find in all of Barcelona. Their chocolates are amazing as well. Check them out!

Dana Phelps: I sent chocolate and port to a friend in Barcelona for her birthday! I had no problems paying from the United States (a lot of other sites I had issues with). They were super responsive to me by email. They wrote a lovely note for her and were highly communicative throughout the process of delivery. It arrived on time - if not early. Thank you so much! I will definitely order from you again!
Response: Thank you very much

Juan Pablo Ríos Gálvez: Amazing chocolates! Delicious and very good price. Excelent service and you can drink a cup of hot chocolate inside store! Strongly recommended!

Bubó Barcelona - Pasteleria - Chocolate: what do users think?

Taylor Miotti: Some of the best croissants I had in barcelona. They have a limited selection, but each flavor is sophisticated and delicious. The croissants are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with generous, flavorful fillings. They were also large enough to be a satisfying breakfast on their own. While the place itself is quite fancy, the pastries are actually quite affordable. I love having breakfast here with friends or people who visit me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place to start the day. Plus I love the people working there, they are always so nice and helpful!!

Claudia Bula: Bubó is a hidden gem in the heart of Barcelona. I love how fancy this place is. All the little cakes and chocolates are so beautiful in looks and presentation. The service was amazing too.

Filippa Alvarsson: We just randomly walked by and got their chocolate and almond croissant since they had an offer 2 for 2.5€ and I would’ve easily payed triple. They were 10/10!!! GO HERE!

Salima Wahbah: Besides their artistically wonderful and yummy cakes, their croissants are TOP TOP !! The staff is so kind and generous and offered us a treat !! Worth the high reputation

Liam Watton: Go there....eat cake....feel happy! Actually very good value for what you get. Delicious

Rebecca Perkins: Go here! If you enjoy chocolate and you want the best chocolate in the world, visit Bubo! We bought their Worlds best chocolate cake and that description is an understatement! There really are no words to describe it. And get the chocolate covered macadamia nuts! There’s more flavors there but they’ll know what you’re talking about. Get a container! Yes it’s expensive but worth every penny. Get a macaroon too, again mmmmm!

Jolene Lau: I guess its one of the best pastries/ desserts shop in town. I like their modern interior design, impressive creation of the desserts, the cakes are perfectly crafted, looks real :) i chose lime cake I also had a chocolate croissant with mascarpone, amazing, must try!

Fatima J: They had a beautiful selection of pasteries and it was hard to pick between them. The strawberry basket was disappointing. The croissant cone was a bitstale, It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t mind blowing either. Would love to give it another shot the next time I’m in Barcelona

Anis Sfeir: This place has been on my list for a while and I finally got to try it. Their pastries are quality, we tried one of their cones and another type of little cake. The coffee is also good. Strongly recommended for a sugary treat.

Lam Sally: The famous cone is too yummy… i ate one dine in and take away another one^^ the staff is super friendly and accomodating and speaks great english, i had a nice morning here!

Rui Rui: Upscale pastry/cafe with pretty selection of cakes. We went for their famous Croissant, tasted good but it’s on the pricy end (euro each) Cinnamon roll was just ok Was very happy with their tea selection tho! Might come back to try if their pastries are worth it.

Siva: Highend pastry shop with lovely treats. The croissant cone with chocolate or mascarpone was lovely. We wished we tried the lemon with Italian meringue, looked lovely. Great cappuccino and lovely aroma in the sakura tea. Staff was super friendly and convenient digital menu via qr code.

John van Bockxmeer: Stopped in for a coffee and was amazed at the realistic looking cactus cake.. had to try it! It was layered with chocolate and mouse goodness with a crispy milk chocolate shell. Coffee was high quality also. This is a very professional, clean and comfortable place to sit and enjoy a pastry.

Roberta Elena: Quality of products - undoubtedly some of the best pasteries and deserts in Barcelona. Quality of service today was poor - I ordered a brioche sandwich with egg from the brunch menu, I waited 30 min and it never arrived - so asked for refund, that took about 10 minutes to make. For this reason I rate 2 stars

MP N: Nice and quiet place to spend some time enjoying the city, coffee and some dessert. In my taste it’s a bit sugary but it depends. the staff is quick and friendly. The food is fresh and the croissants (especially with mascarpone) is just as good as in Hofmann if not even better. If you prefer esthetic instead of touristic hype - you should come.

alise11111: Perfection in all! ✨🔝 Starting with the people who actually creating those sweet and savory art pieces 😋 guided by one and only Mr. Eric Ortuño and extraordinarily Ms. Ximena Pastor. Worldwide level chefs who always super kind and attentive. They helped me (and after my friends) to create my very own (you can see pic of the sketch) amazing wedding cake for super fair price (if you compare to similar level “pastelerías”). Following with super tasty cakes, croissants, candies, amazing coffee, selected cavas, tea etc. all from e best ingredients that you actually can see. Ending with the attention to details in all - table setting (which is quite hard to find in Barcelona to tell the truth:), materials, cleanliness, attention to clients etc. And besides the shop they offer actual high level courses for pro chefs and the ones who just like to learn something new:) Great place for your cheating 🍦🍰🍫days😛 Creations from Michelin level chefs without a need to go to such restaurants. And if to waste your calories always better for something worthy I think 😏

Eric C (The Canadian): The chocolate was amazing. So delicious, grab one of their tins as it is a staple for the chocolate tourista lol

Doaa Alfaifi: This chocolatería shop is amazing. The chocolate tastes so delicious, and there are so many flavors and different sizes of boxes. The female staff was so friendly and kind enough to tell us (After seeing that we’re muslims) what kinds of chocolate we shouldn’t take as they contain alcohol. Highly recommended to anyone plans to go to Barcelona.

Feliz “Rob”: Bought some chocolate there and ask for an invoice with my NIE number on it. The lady said it will be sent via email on the next day. I never received it. Even sent two follow up emails but never received a reply. It’s been more than a week now. Unreliable!!!

Pınar Tomaş: Lots of artisan chocolate. Very very delicious, local good quality. Highly recommend to stop by. Prices are not low but convenient.

Adam Saltan: Good place to buy famous chocolate as a souvenir from Barcelona. There are gift boxes for 11€, 15€ or 20€ which are affordable prices.

Nicoleta Simona: The best chocolate in town!

Michel Marrache: Words do not do this place justice. Must visit!

Rachel Seo: High quality chocolates and pretty tin cases. Great for gifts. The staff member (woman) was very helpful, and kind!

Hamza Ahmetasevic: Good chocolate and presentation of the products. Store looks nice. Staff, in this case Hind, was extremely friendly, helpful and she advised me on products and told me about the history of the store. She also packed everything neatly and with care.

Afnan S: If you wanna taste what REAL chocolate is, u better come here.

Danae Rah: Excellent quality chocolates! Expensive but worth it!!!

007Decky: A chocateria boutique with cafe - very surprising to have tasted this kind of lusciously rich and decedent chocolate in Barcelona. Their dark chocolate products were superb and must-try!

David O: A chocolate experience with a shot of coffee, what more could you ask for! Chocolate selection is awesome as is the quality. The service is wonderful.

I O: Only tried one chocolate (dark chocolate with almonds) but it was way too sweet and the texture was not that great. You can get better local chocolates in some of the supermarkets.

James Osborne: Super hot chocolate, fine chocolates and all at a reasonable price. Very nice.

Peter A: If you like getting hit in the face with the amazing smell of chocolate, you should definitely go here. Good place for coffee and delicious chocolate. Nice touch is they even give a small piece of chocolate with your coffee order!

Tatiana Soler: Come here for a tasty hot chocolate with churros. Very quiet café and patisserie with excel·lent pastries. Locals come here at tea time or to buy desserts to take away.

Kate Bell: Very nice chocolates and a cafe too. Usually busy.

Júlia Moll: This is a lovely café in the centre of Barcelona. They have amazing chocolates and sweets, and also a great selection of teas. The venue is very beautiful as well.

Muneer Uz Zaman Mohammed: Superb chocolates, i enjoyed eating it

Samar Al-Duwihi: Great variety of chocolates and coffee. employees in the store were extremely helpful and understanding of our needs. That goes a long way to making the customer feel comfortable with no pressure. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try chocolate with different flavors.

M M: I bought some chocolate from here. Tried salt bark chocolate a bit yet but it’s so nice. My friend tried a ice cream and she said it’s also nice!

José Valero: Step out for a bit from the Rambla towards Consell de Cent and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with churros, a piece of authentic brownie or their flagship pastry "eclair". There is a bunch of different types of chocolate products to enjoy and also to purchase, as right before the café you walk through the store. A good choice if you are trying to hide in a (bit) more quiet environment, and certainly if you are a chocolate lover. A bit pricy, yet worth a visit.
Response: Thank you very much José for your comment, we continue working so that our customers can enjoy the world of chocolate.

Miki Deen: I’m always excited to try a new chocolate shop when I travel and this was no exception; I’d heard good things. I bought a few bars during my visit and just finished the last one, about 2 weeks later. The toffee fudge was really good, as was the cappuccino. However, the Roses and Strawberries left a lasting impression. Smooth white chocolate speckled with what seemed like freeze dried strawberries and roses. The taste was unique and I ended up sharing with a client, I now regret that.
Response: Hello Miki, thanks so much for your comment. We really appreciate your review. Thanks so much and see you soon!

Heather Yates: At first this shop can seem more like a store than a cafe, but the quiet cafe in the back is stellar. Great prices with multiple dessert options and top notch coffee. Perfect for a rest and small bite after walking all around the city.

》《: So. Much. Chocolate. Absolutely lovely. Just delicious.
Response: Thank you very much for your kind comment, we are glad to know that you have enjoyed our chocolates.

Luke Chatfield: BEST hot chocolate in Barcelona as well as amazing cakes. Also offers a sandwich range aswell

Josselin Pello: This artisanal chocolate maker has some of the best chocolates you’ll try in your life!! Worth every penny

Lam Sally: Super friendly staff who speaks great english! Thanks for helping me choose the gift box for my friend together with me!! And wrapping it so nice and giving recommendations!!

007Decky: Though that gentle and kind shopkeeper speaks almost no english, which is inconvenient for tourists like us, he tried his very best to explain the price and the package and even gave us couple piece of great truffles to taste and they were absolutely delightful! Another hidden gem in Barcelona!

T. Kumar: Great variety of chocolates and the one employee in the store was extremely helpful and understanding of our needs. That goes a long way to making the customer feel comfortable with no pressure. Definitely would go back again!

Andreas Gorbach: A nice place to buy very good traditional chocolate. The place is more than 100 years old and makes basically sweet slow food. family owned and unique.

hagay isaak: Traditional Barcelona chocolate store with over 100 years of history. You can still see the original machinery inside. They speak very little English but make up for it with a lot of effort and good spirit.

Mizna Khaled: Delicious chocolate and fantastic service their truffle chocolate is really good 👍🏽

Fayzah Al-Hussain: One of the oldest chocolate shops in BCN, chocolate smell in the store 🤤

Michael Sexton: Authentic, amazing chocolate. Friendly staff does not speak much English. Try a little Catalan and they will show and teach you about the wonderful treats in their store.

Aleix Guell: Old coffee/chocolate/bonbon shop. It does look new but it is because they recently moved to this new building. Weirdly they answer to you in Catalan even if you ask in a different language.
Response: Hi! We are terribly sorry that you weren't tended to in your language. We can assure you, though, that we do our best to speak either English, Catalan or Spanish. We even try to reply in French or German if someone asks us to, whenever possible. Thank you very much for coming and for your review

Rahaf Almarri: Churros is a must-try! The best of the best, their chocolate is a high quality, service and staff are excellent. A 5 stars!
Response: Thanks Rahaf!!! 😘😘

Manleen Rajput: So yummy! Wish i tried more than just the milk chocolate shake — everything looked so delicious!
Response: Thanks Manleen! We work for all of you 😘😘

Natasa Popovic: Amazing churros! The girls that work there were supper friendly :)

Vivian Lin: Great service !! They speaks good English . Ice cream bar is vetoing imagine . Awesome Hand made Belgian chocolate

Irina S: The perfect little treat if you’re craving something sweet. Everyone’s mentioning the churros, but for me the ice cream was the big discovery here, it was lovely and reasonably priced, as you can instantly tell that the chocolate is top quality. Couldn’t fail to mention the employees, they explain the whole store to you if you want!

yayos ketchup: We discovered this place by coincidence just before visiting one of the museums nearby and I definitely recommend the churros. After the first try we went for another visit and I would definitely go again any time! Best churros I had 🏻

Domantė Bakelytė: Wow! What Churros and chocolate! 🏽 6€ - 6 Churros - it’s enough for two people. We come here for the second day in a row and it was fantastic again. Also, the staff are wonderful!❤️

Christos Kounnas: The most amazing Churros you can ask for! When visiting Barcelona and want to have the churro experience, the Be Chocolat places are your places to go !

Sabrina Paez-Parent: This chocolate was so good that we bought a piece each, walked out and ate it and immediately turned back around and purchased two more a person! The milk chocolate is rich and creamy with hot being sickly sweet like mass produced candy and the flavours they put together and classic. The staff also do not handle money and instead have a machine that takes the money so their hand can stay clean when making/ handling the chocolate- very smart!
Response: Thanks Sabrina! We try to do our best every day for or all of you 😍

Jens Lambert: Had this place earmarked in our guide. When we stopped by earlier this week it was closed and were absolutely delighted when we saw it open today. Absolutely decadent and delicious. Was very reasonable as well, 10 euros for two cups of drinkable chocolate and two plates of dipping cookies. Cannot recommend enough, a great place to take a few minutes out of your day to enjoy.

Daniyal Akhtar: Amazing churros & chocolate and Catalan cream! Highly recommended. This place is super busy, and for good reason. Its amazing! The price is reasonable, the staff are super friendly and atmosphere is great. We recommend trying the Churros with Dark chocolate. The dark chocolate is not so sweet so if you are after something sweeter, pick the sweeter French milk chocolate. The Catalan Cream was also great, light and and the right balance of sweetness.

Sunny Maz: The place was very cozy and makes you feel like you’ve went back to history. Staff were amazing and helpful and quick. Food was amazing. The Ensenada was just wow. The coffee was amazing. Highly recommended this place for a light breakfast or a quick snack. 10/10

CM S: A cool chocolateria in a nice ambience. Unfortunately, it is very noisy. Both the churros and the melindros are very tasty. I found the latter better. You order a hot chocolate to go with the churros or the melindros.

Luce Serra: Really nice place to taste the "suizo" (with whipped cream) or the "francés" (no cream) together with "melindros" (sponge ladyfingers biscuits) and "xurros" (fried dough springled with sugar and cinnamon). Although both drinks are made from melted chocolat they are not too sugary and balance well with the melindros and xurros. Really original place, totally worth the visit! The waiters are nice and available to explain the products.

Response: Dear özge, We appreciate that you dedicated this review to us and we are proud to know that we are working in the right direction. We hope to see you very soon. Receive a cordial greeting.

Dasha Solntseva: You are offered chocolates at the entrance. You don’t take any. Then you buy 1 kilo of sweets, you approaching the exit and want to take one. And the girl says: they are for clients…You standing with their bag and saying, I’m a client…But she refuses. Nonsense and a mood killer :(

Jonash Hendry: Amazing place to buy more quantity and quality chocolates at affordable price...am so glad to have been in this store..and soo friendly staff

Jianchao Li: Nice chocolate, good price, helpful sales

Yvonne Costello: I had a 10 minute window before taxi to airport arrived at hotel and was greeted with a smile and ‘I will help you’ from the extremely helpful member of staff as she opened for the day. Three bags of chocolates were chosen, weighed and placed in a cool bag for transporting home in 5 minutes. Fantastic customer service!!

Nimrod Halimi: Very nice staff.

Rajashree Haldankar: Variety of chocolates to select from. From dark chocolate to milk chocolate and mint flovour to fruit or spicy flavour is the best thing to select from. If it would have been in bigger place, it surely would have been like Charlie in the chocolate factory kind of experience.

Dario Durà Armadans: The dream comes true for any chocolate lover! You can even find the rare 99% cocoa and so many flavours of the lustful lindt balls ypu will have a hard time choosing! All lindt products in one shop! Staff is attentive and helpful too.

Chocolat-Box: what do users think?

Deea Andreea: The ice cream is very tasty and the portions are huge. The waffles are very good and they have a wide variety of cakes that you can take home. The waitresses are very friendly and speak English. For us it is the best place to eat something sweet in this area and relax on the terrace.

askim1903: The best ice cream in Barcelona. Very kind stuff. Super cozy street. They are super generous with the ice cream and I would say that the price is proportional to the quantity and quality. We literally visited this place every day of our vacation.

Adam Zemančík: DONT BUY CHURROS HERE! We were extremely disappointed by the churros we got. The chocolate wasnt good at all. And the churros themselves were just oily pieces of dough. Maybe add some cinnamon or fill churros with chocolate? But thats just sth extra, at least improve the chocolate quality. The place itself looks ok, but thats probably the only positive thing.

Soha T.: Amazing cafe for good coffee! We went to this place every morning during our stay in Barcelona. The ambience is beautiful and different from regular coffee shops we see in the U.S.

Gonzalo Cibeira: Great ice cream, great pistachio, but …. they charge you an extra 0,50 for it 🤔

Richard Bignell: Great price awesome ice cream, great service,

M-C Montreal Local - Food Lover: High quality ice cream for a fair price. Service is very good and friendly.

Monoranu Andrei: Lovely ice coffe, churros and sandwich. good prices

Sam Wilson: Really enjoyed this place. Went for a crepe and gofre with coffee and was not disappointed! Good size a covered in chocolate! Nice outside seating and generally nice place. Coffee + crepe/gofre €4,70 so reasonable price too!
Response: Dear Sam, Thank you for your comments. We are very pleased to hear that you had a good experience with our products. We hope that you come back really soon. Best regards Chocolat-box

Conor Whelan: The waiters were very rude. They started to serve people ahead of us and effectively ignored us when we approached the counter. Decided to leave. Wouldn’t recommend it as they don’t know how to treat potential customers.
