Then this is your new place :) If you are American and you are looking for a SOULCYCLE away from home then this is definitely the studio to visit whilst in Barcelona. If you are a Brit then this is similar to Psycle and SoulCycle London. Staff are always attentive, willing to help and always improving.
Nathalie: Great indoor cycling class, with very helpful staff! Highly recommend. Similar to French Dynamo.Just note that room gets very hot on warm days.

Casandra Arredondo: I was so excited to find a cycling studio near me in Barcelona. I have cycled regularly now at my studio back home and I love cycling over any other workout. The ladies that helped reserve my class were super nice but once I showed up to my evening class everything felt very unorganized and hectic. I asked to purchase water or bottle to fill and they said they didn’t have any. I settled into my bike and realized there was no computer to track mileage or resistance, I found this to be very odd and once the class started I was very taken a back by the sequence and the instructors body position. It’s important to do complete motions and always have some resistance on the bike. He had near zero resistance and was bringing his knees so forward it honestly concerned me. The push up positions were like half completed repetitions and I could not believe that this was the person I had to mimic. It was very unsafe and concerning because it’s clear he just didn’t have proper training. Overall the price and standard here is very low for what is supposed to be a nice studio. I was planning on purchasing a bundle but never returned because I left feeling so overwhelmed by the everything. Happy I got in a cycling workout but ended up not following the class and modifying to safer movements and adding resistance.

Mariona: Great cycling place, cool coaches and music. It has a lot of facilities: towels included, great showers with shampoo and lockers for leaving your stuff during the class. It is included in different sports Apps such as Andjoy or Urban Sports Club. It is definetly recommended, you can check their schedules and coaches in their website.

Malou: I like the vibe of the place, it’s clean, everyone’s nice, but it was difficult being an English speaker here, because they did not adapt the class. Need to learn Spanish even quicker now! The rest was good, but I asked for some help before the class to get the bike settings right and I didn’t get any guidance - they just said it looked okay and walked away.

M. Ariza: Center where aquabike classes are taught, the bikes are in the pool and it is very pleasant as well as entertaining to exercise. There are several instructors and a very long class schedule. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have changing rooms and physiotherapy service. Everything is clean and the water temperature is correct.
Jessica Fernandez: The classes are fun, dynamic, you do a lot of exercise and with 0 impact! The fact that some teachers are also physios is a plus! And at reception they always help with any questions in a super friendly way.

Lam Sally: I agree with all the one star comments that the music is too loud and leaves you with a headache. I cannot enjoy the class at all and my ear has an echo in the background for two whole days after the class. I went to the otorrino to check and he said it is due to the unusual high volume of music blasted into the ears and will heal itself but it will damage the ears in the long term.
Mandy Yeung: my experience with this gym has been very poor. i took half day off from work last wednesday to enjoy myself and arrived near the gym early to have lunch, i was enrolled in the 230-330 class but they cancelled the class on the app like 55mins before, felt like they cancelled last minute because there were not enough students for the class whatsoever. or maybe the coach was sick, im just unlucky then. i gave them a second chance and i went back today monday for 230-330 class again, i told them it was my first time here and they showed me to the WC upstairs and the training room downstairs which was great, but i did not like the fact that the changing room and toilet had security cameras and was shared unisex. they provide gloves so you dont need to buy it and they clean it everytime after which is great. however, around 1.5hours after the class, i received an email saying i did not show up to the class and im being charged a no show fee. i was near the neighborhood in a cafe luckily, so i went back to the gym and ask them why, the staff told me that it must be because I did not write my name down on the paper before i enter the class, it felt that the organization was messy despite telling them it was my first time here, at no point was i being asked to write down my name. lastly, like all the other comments mentioned, the music is too loud to be able to enjoy the class and i go to a lot of concerts, but the volume in the class is unacceptable, but it is the least of the problems. they got to up the game organizing things. its messy.

S: Expensive 75€/month, not very modern nor up to date, always machines out of order. Only one steam bathroom out of order many times too. Same TV channel on (TV3)and all the signs and notíces exclusively in Catalan. Desk at lobby airways busy. Every year fees are raised with no revamp of the installation. There are better options around.
Pablo Cantería Pastor: The place is huge, 6 floors of facilities + pool at the rooftop and solarium. Some of the areas look a bit old fashioned and would need to be renovated but overall is in a good shape. A very decent gym for pretty much everyone!
A D: Very nice gym if you need the extra such as pool table and outdoor pool for the summer. If you do forget your bracelet to enter forget about it. I offered to give my NIE or driving licence as they have all my details in the system.instead they offered to give me a new bracelet for the price of 5 euros although I told them that I just forgot it at home. Not a happy customer and I just cancelled my membership after 4 months for a more accommodating gym as with 52 euros I can do better.
William Moore: Everything you need in a gym, excellent machines (hammerstrength and Life fitness) and free weights ranging up to 48kg dumbbells. Pool, sauna and boxing ring as well as a variety of classes available.
Eliza Broekere: Perfect place to work out. all floors well organized offering something for everyone. I had a feeling shower/locker room was too large, probably that space could be dedicated to work out equipment that could use some expansion :-)Very nice spa!!!

Carla Mayol: Excellent place to practice pilates with reformer. I have started with them and I am delighted with everything I have learned. The fact that there are few of us in the class is a luxury, as it allows the instructor to be there for you and to be able to adapt each movement for you if you need it, as well as posture corrections and supervision!

Graciela Pandiello Cortizo: Great experience in QPilates. Eva and her entire team of professionals make each session of Pilates machines a pleasure for the body and mind. His great knowledge in the technique and at the same time his great closeness when giving the classes make you feel comfortable from minute 1. I want to highlight the contribution of the individual initiation classes that help you to refresh movements if you are a little rusty, such as it was my case after several months of hiatus, or to learn the basics and be able to join a suitable group according to your needs. The group classes are super dynamic and the teachers, with their good work, are always attentive to your movements, correcting your posture when necessary. In addition, Q Pilates makes it very easy to recover a class in the event that you cannot attend as long as you communicate it in advance, very much appreciated since other centers do not usually allow it. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED in every way.

BCN Fitness: what do users think?
The Worst Paratrooper: Right off the rip, rating as a tourist using this as a temporary gym. It is a cramped gym. They can’t change that unless they move locations, therefore I don’t think it would be fair to assess them on the overall size of the facility. However I do appreciate how much the gym works with the space it has, minus some flaws. There is an acceptable amount of stationary resistance machines. Their quality runs from very nice new to older models that have been taken care of. There’s three cable machines which is above the standard two. Two squat racks, they are way too close to each other though. Two flat benches. In the upstairs they have nice concept 2 rowers. Negatives: the turf area has potential, however I believe they selected the wrong area to turf. You can’t do a full 20 meter sled or drag and with three people in the current turf area it does get crowded. The squat racks are too close to each other. Other than those two hang ups this place is an easy recommend if you’re in Barcelona visiting. They sell a lock at the front or you can just use a bicycle lock/ baby lock. Bring a towel because that’s the Spain standard. I like that there’s a spot for the attendant on the gym floor. Photo for reference just how close everything is inside the area with cable machines, squat racks, and benches.
Grecia Plasencia: For what it is this is a 4 star quality gym. There are plenty of stationary resistance machines to give you an option if another is being used. There’s a turf area but it’s too small for any actual movements. If four people are in there then it’s too crowded. Some of the dumbbells need to be tightened and you can’t film. You will most likely not be able to do Olympic lifts. Be advised that this gym has a limited area and you will need both a towel and a lock.
Syahirah Halim: Seriously it’s good but not perfect. I went a few times during my visit as sadly my hotel gym was pretty much pathetic. One time I came and they had so problems with the internet or whatever so I couldn’t pay and the guy just let me in. So essentially he let me in for free so that’s a big plus. Another time one female staff was super helpful. The gym isn’t modern it’s a bit dated and the A/C doesn’t exists, but they have enough weights and cardio if you come early enough. Can recommend if you stay nearby otherwise maybe try another gym or stay at a hotel with a better gym.
bex hill: Good no-frills gym, (with TechnoGym equipment) and one of very few in Barcelona that truly offer 24 hour access during the week. Came here most days for 5 years when I lived on Arago. Amazing value for money. Very popular with bodybuilders because of the long opening hours but don’t let that put you off! I was always doing yoga and hand balancing in the stretching area and I never got hassled here, it’s very inclusive. Everyone here just wants to get fit, with no judgement; the clientele range from twenties to retirees. Very helpful staff if you need assistance. Pay monthly option with no tie-in was what made me join and kept me there for years! Only left as I moved further away in the city and now I’m having problems to find anything close that matches my experience at bcn fitness.

Eric Velasco: This gym is overcrowded. I do not recommend it. It is very humid. Not a single spot free in the weights area, the swimming pool is small and they occupy it during peak hours with two classes for children. It is a good place to relax in the sauna or solarium but not to train. We literally entered and left
Deeksha Ashok: Excellent gym! The swimming course for beginners is really good. Alex, the instructor is very kind, dedicated to his work and teaches with so much patience. He doesn’t just give instructions but comes inside the pool to teach us the proper movements. My 6yr old son also goes there for swimming lessons and he is really happy. I highly recommend this place.
Desi Dimitrova: PROs: the facilities are adequate, there’s a terrace, most of the staff is friendly CONs: the classes are not very intense and some are outright boring. They used to have a very fun zumba but the last time I attended, the usual instructor was gone and instead there was a very nice lady who barely moved. I felt like it was dance night at the senior center… What’s more, sometimes, they don’t turn on the ventilation, so it you may get out of breath when you’ve barely moved. There are other cons such as if you want to train on your own, there’s almost no space to do so and no one speaks English (except for a couple of people at reception) - I had a very unpleasant interaction with one of the instructors who asked me something in Spanish and when I asked if she can say it in English, she yelled at me how the class couldn’t be in English and I had to choose between Spanish and Catalan. I mean, I never asked for the class to be in English - I can manage fine in Spanish but I didn’t hear and understand the question. And even if I did ask that, there was no need to be rude. Apart from all of that, I kept my membership for several months because I could find some space to exercise on my own and I liked the one zumba class (that’s now gone). The reason why I’ll NEVER use them again? When I left Barcelona a few months ago, I didn’t have time to go to the gym, so I sent a question in their app if I could cancel my membership online. NO ONE got back to me and since I really didn’t have any time, I thought “ok, that’s good enough”. It turns out - it wasn’t. I came back wanting to continue my membership, only to find out they never cancelled it, so I had to pay for 2 months that I wasn’t even in the country. The lady at reception told me that everything should be done in person with them and the app was useless… What century do we live in? I was extremely disappointed and if you’re an expat, I would NOT recommend going to this gym.
Sergi Capape: Super spacious and modern. Bring your towel, padlock and shampoo (you can use soap provided at the ends of shower room). Friendly staff. Went there with Gympass
Luke Holmes: Good facilities, clean gym and friendly staff that speak English as well. Some of the rules are not clear and some of the equipment changes are not good. Free-weight cable machines are replaced with more modern machines, that do not give you the same resistance. The cable machines feel more like elastic bands than weights. I think there is space for both. Weightlifting platform is great, but the weightlifting specific weights are used for only one machine. Which does not make sense, because it does not matter what weight is used for a machine, but it does matter what weights you use on a platform. Often members might be lifting with dangerous technique and the trainers will be watching the machines instead. Makes sense that the attention is where there is a higher risk of member safety. Closing times are confusing, they close the gyms facilities 30 minutes before the stated time. Meaning the stated closing time is the time the staff leave the gym, not the time you have to stop training. If you are a more experienced gym goer, you might find some of the rules, restrictions frustrating, but overall a good gym, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
Nicolas Mercader: Probably the best gym in Barcelona. Good prices, well organized, teachers are really cool and caring, also a lot of technology and machines. The spa is very good and staff super nice.

Sinimini: Despite their expensive fees, I have been a member of the gym for years as I liked their installations and the location. However, their attitude during health pass times was unacceptable. They did not let me in any of the areas just because I could not provide them a European QR. They did not let me use any part of the gym and denied paying my 3-month-payment back. The girl at the reception took me for a fool when I asked for an official complaint form. She pretended as she would not understand and tried not to fill out the form for 3 hours! I asked for my money back so I could use it for something else if I was not going to use it for this gym. Which never happened. They did not really care neither apologized for anything and I could not take my money back. Later on months later when I went back to complain again what was happening with my money return exactly they said they could not pay it back but I could use it as a voucher. Such an expensive gym with such poor customer relations. I am completely disappointed.
Iain Anderson: Really clean, airy gymnasium. The staff were super friendly and the lady on reception was very nice at explaining everything on my first visit. I was there using my Andjoy app.

Martin Melendez: I think it is a very good gym, it has a bit of everything, one of the things I like the most is the swingpool. The instrutors are good. They also have a solarium, in summer it is very good, right below they have the saunas that are relaxing.

Diego Caban: I cancelled my membership and they kept charging me. This is about the fouth time I have had a situation with one of the DIRs and their billing. These people apparently wake up every day with a clear intention to scam people out of their money. You can´t have this kind of lack of transparency consistently without the intention of it being so. And the best offers are always for new customers.
C Pardo: Exceptional facility very much like Equinox in the States, but costs far less. Best weights, weight machine circuit and cardio area with natural light in a very central location. Large clean and staffed locker rooms and showers. Yoga, CrossFit, personal training staff. Large cold and heated indoor pools. Saturday AND Sunday hours into the early evening, but lunchtime 1400-1600 is very crowded. English speaking staff, ask for Pepe or Miriam. The best city gym in BCN from this NYer!
Jordan Rozum: Unpleasant and hostile staff and run down facilities. There are much nicer gyms in Barcelona so don’t waste your time here!

marieke van ree: Iokasti is a great teacher. I have been taking her Signature class for a year and every week train muscles I did not even know I had. She completely got me back in to shape. She makes the classes diverse, intensive and most of all extremely FUN! I highly recommend going to her classes because it makes your whole week significantly better.

Marieke de Groot: If you want to have more fun while working out, this is the place to be! Iokasti has an endless amount of positive energy and always pushes you to the limit in a good way and with a laugh! She also has a lot of knowlegde about the body and will help you to reach your physical goals. I am always joining the Signature class, in which we focus on aerobics and functional training. Exercises are in such a creative way that we are basically dancing the entire class, without having to follow a choreography. The last 15 minutes are always dedicated to improving flexibility. I highly recommend this fitness school, both to join classes as well as taking personal training!
