La Chirigota Brazil food: what do users think?

Pedro Muller: What a piece of meat I took there!Picanha was delicious will come back, with or without my delicious piece of meat, hopefully with her.
Response: thank you so much!!!!

Jonas Bohman: Food was very good. Staff even better 🙌
Response: thank you so much!!!

Nadim N.: I am giving this place a one star because there is no lower review option. I asked for a well done veal meat. I had to send it back it was still not well done. The rice that came as a side with the food is very dry and not eatable. No sauce came with the food or rice. The staff is nice and the service is quick I guess Brazilian food is not for me.

Lilo: When spending holidays in Barcelona, on the 31st of December, 2021 I was craving for some brazilian food. After a quick search on google and not finding many restaurant open I decided to give a chance to La Chirigota. But what a deception! Their poor customer service was bad as their overpriced dishes. The Brazilian waiter - who served me while using his cellphone - made me think that I was bothering them for being there somehow. First when, even before welcoming us he claimed that they were not serving their all-you-can-eat barbecue - and I wasn’t even there for it but he never asked what my preferences were for that afternoon. I inquired twice if they were about to close - which could potential explain, but not excuse their behavior however he confirmed that they weren’t going to close during that day. So I kept my order on and waited for my food. I got chocked when my dish arrived. On their menu says that the ‘combinado’ dish comes with a real picanha steak alongside of rice, beans, vinagrete and casaca chips but what I got instead was a few strips of cold meat strips, oily casava chips and left over beans. I left the restaurante chocked and wondering how come? I had never been in a Brazilian restaurant were the staff looks (and acts) miserable, unhappy and the food is so tasteless. If I can give you a piece of advice keep away of this place and look for another option - which I believe Barcelona city has! La Chirigota doesn’t get close to what Brazilian cocina is!
Response: Miss wanted to apologize for any inconvenience, I don't understand why I'm so unhappy but I still ask for apologies, I think you were very critical in your comment because that's not how I served you, if I warned you that there was no rodizio it's because it's the star dish of the house and at that moment we were working on the menu for the end of the year so we wouldn't see the rodizio, and if it was on the cell it's because we were having last minute reservations, you asked me if we would close, I replied that we didn't have no prey with all politeness, and as for the quality of our food your comment has no basis because my clientele is mostly Brazilian and customers give 5 stars to our food. I hope you rethink what happened that day. I wish you the best in your life and that you reflect a little on what you write on the internet, because it can do a lot of harm to other people.

Mahish Ramalingam: It was a fantastic place to eat! The service was amazing, even though he didnt speak English, we still got what we wanted! The beef bits were the single best bite we had on this trip! The owner also gave us free shots! This place is highly recommended
Response: thank you so much !!!!

Kim: amazing foods and great service. one of the most recommendable restaurants in BCN if you are meat lover.
Response: thank you always come back!!

Guanabara by El Rodizio: what do users think?

G G: Very nice ambiance and delicious food. Don’t forget to reserve for evening and weekends, it gets very busy. Salad buffet has lots of varieties, like sea food, salmon, sushi and hot snacks. Meat is served nicely, and really delicious, but evening buffet has more options of meat. If you are not a meat lover, they have separate fish and vegi main course options. A little more English speaking would be very nice for super touristic and amazing city of Barcelona.

Robert Wojno: All you can eat menu for 30 euros plus drinks. The food is fine and the meat is tasty. There could be a bit more variety of the buffet. It’s not really worth coming here if you don’t eat meat. There is plenty of space so it’s a good place to celebrate a group event.

Elena García Fernández: 30€ for an amazing buffet of sushi, cheese, salad, sauces, embutidos, and then meat served at the table. You have two hours to eat anything. Drinks not included. Two turns to eat. Make reservation to make sure because people with reservation even comes early to not to wait. Amazing experience for meat lovers

Yuwen Xu: We love the meat! It was a great restaurant choice. A perfect place for the meat lovers. There are lots of choices for the buffet. However, don’t eat too much side dish and focus on the meat coming! Otherwise you might regret as we did… 😂

Patrick Fueldner: All around great! Very good meat quality, good selection of different meats. Friendly staff and they come around frequently to maintain an uninterrupted flow of grilled meat to your plate. Careful with the buffet! It has a nice selection of yummy foods that might distract you from the meat and fill you up prematurely. 😉Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Peter A: We love this Brazilian all you can eat steak house. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend and fun place to go with a small group. The buffet bar you have access to before and during your meal is high quality. I also would recommend the bottle of rioja pictured. Already looking forward to our next visit.

tarek salame: This restaurant is by far the top of the line when it comes to meats. They have buffets with 14 different types of meat along with chicken coming your way by a revolving staff. Service, food, and staff are quick cordial and perfect. This is the place i would definitely recommend.

Michelle Schwarz: Best Brazilian restaurant ever ❤️Amazing meat, high qualityMassive and great buffetLovely staff and top service 🙌🏽💯

Nico Stangl: The best restaurant experience in my life. Not just because the food was incredible. The experience as a whole with the waiters who come to your table with the meet, the buffet with antipasti and side dishes, the wine, the atmosphere. Everything was perfect. And on top: It was so cheap for the quality they offer and how much you consume there. I will surely fly to Barcelona once just to come to Guanabara.. changed my mind on how meat should taste ❤️

Mai Lê: This Brazilians restaurant is now one of my favorites, it has live music last Sunday and quite noisy inside so I was sitting outside in the terrace where they have the heaters and blankets so it was not too cold but of course staying inside will keep the food warm longer. The food I tried were delicious, even the meat was a bit salty for my taste, I still like it, I finished everything!!!

G M: We had high expectations for this place and were a bit disappointed. We ordered 5 dishes and 3 out of the 5 were flavorless. They charged us €2.00 for tap water. The service was friendly and helpful, but not attentive. We sat inside and the music was too loud. We won’t return.

F P: Nice place, nice atmosphere, tasty food, nice people and good company. I suggest going during the weekend with live music, that’s completely different. Must book during the weekend to eat inside because the place isn’t that big.

André Lemos: The place is great! Well located, super comfortable and live music which is a must! Not first time I go there. Had a sangria and couple of beers (not in the Brazilian temperature) and some “petiscos” (tapas) which was great as always. You can get a little tasty of Brasil being there! There was a con, the time waiting to order something, always had to almost implore to be seen! Had to call a waiter to go to another table because they were imploring to be seen but they were super polite and friendly all the time.

Victoria Stankova: Very cosy place, friendly staff and the food & drinks were great. The picanha was great 😊 so was the caipirinha de maracujá 😍check it out on Sunday afternoon when they usually have pagode night 👌🏽

Valentin Zeisel: The best Restaurant during our 4 day barcelona trip! Keep up the good work 💪

Daniella Teixeira: A little Brazilian corner in Barcelona. We had a great caipirinha, tapioca and brigadeiro. Excellent and the service as in Brazil!

Val Galimberti: I liked this place more than the other super touristic bars in this area. I ordered things that were probably not very "Brazilian" (iced tea, vegan burger and mango/coconut caipirinha) but I liked them. The service was also good, staff is friendly.

Bibi: As a Brazilian I need to say that this restaurant is amazing. EU ADOREI! Even the rice tasted just like in Brazil. The only "critique" I would have is that the brigadeiro was not really what I expected when we ordered it but nevertheless it was incredibly tasty. Can absolutely recommend the tapioca. Just felt like home for some hours. Thank you for that.

Monica More Petroski: A place to try the Brazilian tapas. The açaí was really good, very smooth. For tapas we ordered pão de queijo, coxinhas e dadinhos de tapioca. In my opinion, I was expecting more from the cozinha e pão de queijo. These two are the king and the queen in Brazil and the taste was okay. The winner was the dadinhos de tapioca 🏆 The escondido de carne seca was good as well. Not amazing.

Lam Sally: The starter is yummy but the steak is just way overcooked and 100% like chewing rubber. Very disappointed with the fake photos because i came after seeing reviews. Look at my steak and other steak they posted.
Response: Sorry, those photos are from our old restaurant, we need to put new ones, sorry for that.

Marlena Trała: I have never been to Brazil yet, however this food gave me nice introduction to extremely pleasant flavors! I love it! It was so different than European flavors, it was a nice trip to Brazil through the food, service was nice, live music 🎶. Mmmm! Don’t wait and visit this place!

Robert Johnson: Very friendly family run restaurant. Strongly recommend.

Varun Sehdev: OK Food but purely depends upon your taste buds. For us food was very rich. They have good drinks menu.Food: 2/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Response: food made only with love

L M: Warm and welcoming restaurant in fashionable area of Barcelona. Every dish we tried was delicious. The eggplant fritters drizzled with honey and tomato stuffed with basil, cheese and Iberian ham were the standout dishes. Closely followed by the chorizo criollo and the beef balls. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Response: Thanks a lot

BCN Culinary Explorer: Restaurant with 2 floors in the area of Sant Antoni. Their kitchen staff and the waiter were Brazilian which gave it a nice touch.

betsi mireles: Best Brazilian food in Barcelona. We are regulars weekly! The food, drinks, and staff are all amazing.
Response: Thanks a lot

Lennert Onkelinx: Delicious Brazilian food! Excellent value for money
Response: Thank you 😊

Christian Sisti: Nice experience, friendly staff. Tasty humus and bravas. I like nachos with bit more cheese, but quantity was fair.

Katerina Argiri: Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Also we went on Saturday and there was live music.
Response: Thank you

Andrius Kasiulis: Late to open. Half and hour waiting to be served. Half of cutlery missing on table. Plates missing. One of first ones to come in after opening in the evening last one to be served. Staff not too friendly.Wonderful food with horrible service.Food: 4/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Response: We offer you our sincerest apologies. We go to great lengths to maintain a high level of service, but this certainly has not been the case for you. We take this kind of comments into account to improve. We hope to be able to please you next time.

Joan Billiones: It’s was good food and a lot meat 🥩☺️ 17:95 euro each person for buffet in one person 😊. A lot of people line up for the Q.
Response: Thank you very much Joan for your comment, it helps us to improve. We would love to see you again soon!

Artur Leka: Not so good so far…. Servis is very slow we order some drinks and after 15 min they arrived and i just got really angry. By far 3 stars is only for the guy with machete and his name was hillrman or something like this very kind guy and gives you details about food and how is prepared. However nice terrace and man in black just standing over there and taking money and sitting people the girls just going around like they have lost something and searching for it. I suggest for good food but in same time not suggest for bad service.

Ryan Tan: UNSAFE, UNPLEASENT, NOT WORTH A VISIT. The food and service was mediocre at best. As with any Brazilian BBQ restaurant, there were plenty of sides and a nice selection of Brazilian cocktails. The sides were a plate of fries, some rice. Black beans and a salad. The salad was poorly cut and the dressing was incredibly sour. The meats served were very moderate as they came out very charred and also very over cooked. One of the cutters was extremely unprofessional, swinging the knife around, carrying the meat without a base letting the juices from the meat fall right on to the floor. I felt that it was very unsafe as he was cutting the meat infront of your face on the plate he had no regard for where or how we was using his knife. Personally as he was cutting infront of me he decided to push the meat downwards and actually hit me in the face with some of the meats. I can’t imagine if it were a small child or senior citizen. The manager of the store was a elderly gentleman dressed in black and almost not caring about anything just strolling around and seating guest that were coming in. I do not recommend you come here at all.

Dany Hernandez: So disappointed with this place, I finally desired to go even when I saw they had bad reviews but I wanted to eat all the meat I could, so results that they charge you a menu price 22€ per person for “unlimited” meat but they serve a tiny portion every time, they don’t have variety just like 2 or 3 kinds and if you spend more than an hour they will skip your table even if you still have the sign that you want more. Don’t go there unless you want to throw away your money and eat miserably

jezuachrist: Luis is a top man. He is very helpfull. Nice service. Kind people. Good good, very cheap. Very nice place to eat. Lots of Sweet meat. Rice and beans are very tasty. I love it there! Big up Luis!
Response: Hello Jezuachrist we are very grateful for your comment, we would love to see you again soon at Brasa y firewood!!!

Calorie Wise: This place looks a bit shabby and the service is quite laid back, but it definitely serves its purpose well: stuffs you up with delicious grilled meats! For a mere 13€ you get bowls of salad, french fries and rice and unlimited rounds of rodizio. We were stuffed right after the first one passed ;)

Dorotea Čapo: Hidden gem! Small Brazilian restaurant that left us amazed by quality and tender meat, full flavors, very friendly staff, fast service and low prices. Picana was so tender, juicy and well seasoned that we highly recommend. The stew of feijonada had right balance of flavors and seasoning. We liked how the dishes were served, it gives original brazilian experience. For dessert we recommend manjar de coco as it is light, not too sweet and refreshing. We will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!
Response: Thank you for your review Dorotea! We appreciate your words and that the experience in our Brazilian restaurant was a good one. We look forward to seeing you again soon, Happy day!

Tiffany Moonsammy: Will recommend this place 1000 times. The food quality is great and so are the portions the price is also reasonable. The staff are warm and friendly and a breath of fresh air in Barcelona. Excellent Brazilian food in Barcelona

Rachel Milligan: Best Brazilian food and a great price for all the food you get. Super authentic and super tasty! Their lunch menu included the dish, rice + beans, a drink, and dessert. I tried the picanha and I definitely recommend it. Their mburucuya (passion fruit) juice was also amazing!

Daniel Alves: This is a piece of Brazil in Barcelona! Had Carne de Panela and Bife Acebolado - both were delicious and very authentic! The price is incredibly good given that most dishes come with beans, farofa and rice. The entire staff is amazingly friendly, always with big smiles! The restaurant is super cozy too. Definitely recommend!

Laura Higham: DELICIOUS! Everything was amazing. The service and the food was perfect. I brought my brazilian mum here and she rated it 10/10. Can’t recommend enough
Response: Thank you for your review Laura! We appreciate your words. We look forward to seeing you again soon, Happy day!

rebekah lee: The rating is strictly personal. We read rave reviews by many other Brazilian people who said it was authentic. And it probably is. But to non Brazilians, everything was saltier than Donald Trump after he lost the election. Taste was excellent but one has to stop for a water break every three mouths. Recommend the set meal though. The rice has less salt.
Response: Rebekah Lee thank you very much

Selma Karadza: Really warm place, it all tastes really like homemade food. Absolutely random visit that became a discovery of one of favourite new places in the city.
Response: Selma Karadza thank you very much

Madalina Azzam: Food was average, for a Brazilian food lover. The place was noisy, and a bit confusing. Service was good though - hats down to these ladies being able to work in such a hectic environment.

Elton Campos: Most Brazilian restaurants in Europe serve Brazilian food tailored to Europeans, but here youll have a real taste of Brazil. Delicious food, great service and the best caipirinha in Barcelona!!

Easy Peasy: Really nice food , the people are nice too BUT there where cockroaches in the bathroom..... A big no go ....

John M: Brazilian restaurant in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. The food is very good and service was as good as non-English speaking can be..prices ok for location.

Caio Moribe: We was in four people, we shared 1 feijoada for 2, plus another individual feijoada. In additional, (secret tip) it’s not on menu, but you can order a plate only with sliced meet (Picanha). In the end, we ate a pudim/flan and a passion fruit mousse. All the dishes was really good, and the woman who served us, Leandra, was really nice. It will be easier if you know how to speak Portuguese, but even if you not speak the menu had English translation. The place is simple, but at the same time price is fair and food really good. I took 2 Japanese friends there and they loved.

Sabrina Perla: One of the best meals I’ve had in Barcelona. I will definitely be back.

Finantrip: It is a simple and small brazilian bar and restaurant. Nice to eat Brazilian snacks (coxinha, risole, kibe...), food (feijoada, for example), beers (Skol, Brahma..) Average price and service.

Leonardo Ribeiro: Authentic Brazilian food. Very delicious and well served. Recommended!

Alejandro Amabili: Good place to have a big meal. The meats were good but they took ages for them to serve each piece and we saw a big table of like 12 people sit and all the attention (and food) went for themFood: 3/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Cookie Monster: One of the worst experiences in this kind of restaurant. The food we were served wasn’t in a good state and all four felt sick after having dinner. There are way better options in Barcelona with surely better quality of food.

Imre Balázs: Unbelievably slow service. 20-30 minutes to get a drink, no meat for 45 minutes. Very bad experience. Does not recommend it at all.

Thiago Rodrigues: There is no meet, apart from pork and chicken. A real Brazilian rodízio would be quite different. We basically have to implore for the guy to bring some real food. This is a scam!

Sergi Luna: The food looks good and tastes good but the overall quantity of the food is very limited.

Arunkumar Gunasekaran: Very nice place for kids. look out for annual family pass

Nicu Lazar: Tapas picana medium done is fantastic. Also de cod fish with pateto egg. Sauce in Francesinha is not that great. Later edit: came back 3 days later and tried the full size Picana. Fantastic, totally recommend it! Better than Entrana. Desert was also awsome!
Response: Thank you so much Nicu!!🙏🏽

André Lemos: Great food and service! Nice area and friendly staff! Would go back for sure! That picanha is great…just take care with the chili, it is spicy and tasty!!!! Very good price as well!
Response: Thanks André !! 🙏🏼

Señor Gonzo: Good spot for a cold Super Bock if you want a change from the ubiquitous Estrella.

Klára Kulhánková: Definitely the best meal (and sangria) we had in Barcelona.

Ariane M.A: My husband and I have decided to eat at Bistro 42 after a friend’s recommendation, so maybe my expectations were high. The food took a long time to arrive, and it wasn’t special. I had tried better picanha, rive and beans and Bacalhau a Braz in town.

Mateus Prestes: Awesome food, many different options, but my favorite ones were the brazillian style food with rice and beans and farofa and chicken. The burger was huge and in a great price. The attendance was amazing all the times that we went. The food was good in all of the times. The beer had an awesome price for drinking while eating. Really enjoyed the experience, for a meal on lunch or dinner, probably the best cheap place on the area.

Arnaud Schloune: Great food called “frango passarinho”. The service is quite slow, and they tried to charge an extra drink that was not coming from their bar. Not the exact same taste of what I ate in Brazil, so just eat it and don’t think too much 😅

Eliad Berro: Great local food with affordable prices. Very good service. Recommend!!

Emma Harris: Super friendly staff and the food is fantastic. The kebab ración is AMAZING! The flavours are fantastic. Definitely try this little gem!

Vienna Leigh: We live locally and pop over here all the time for reasonably priced drinks and food on the terrace (especially pan de queso) and lovely, friendly service.

Satish: Ordered a set lunch for 10€ - an entree, a main with bread, drink and dessert. Really good value for money and great tasting food. The pollo asado was perfectly cooked. The lemon cake was not too sweet and was full of flavour. Will definitely recommend.

Yevgeniy S.: Surprisingly nice place. Quality food, good service and low price.
Response: Thank you

Miranda Stobbe: Great service and good and cheap lunch menu!

Galin Georgiev: Very friendly service and great selection of Brazilian food. Recommended!

Robert Rabat: Exelent

Oakberry Açai Bowls: what do users think?

Andrea Garcia: Really nice place, but for me it’s better for takeout. I ordered the açaí bowl and you can add as many toppings as you like. Loved it, the açaí is a little too sweet but with peanut butter and cacao nibs is perfect!
Response: Thank you!

Anastasiya S: One of the best açaí places I’ve ever tried!! You can add unlimited toppings and the portion size is perfect.
Response: Thank you!!

Monica More Petroski: The franchises is really nice. Very cute but the açai is far to be good. Too sweet and liquid. Maybe for the smoothie works but not as açaí bowl.
Response: Hi Monica. Thank you for your review.

Bruna Nigro: The perfect açaí bowl for anytime of the day!! So happy I found Oakberry close to work.. quick meal with quality ingredients!
Response: The perfect bowl for any time of the day and any day. It's that daily dose of energy we need. We're glad we're close to your work. There is nothing like a break from work and an oakberry for that boost.

Fernanda Cardoso: This is simply the BEST açai I ever tried!!! I wish I could have this as a meal every day!Best quality, and I love the place! I really recommend!
Response: Thank you for your review. The oakberry açai is that kind of food that makes you crave it. And the amount of toppings available to create the bowl makes it new every time you eat it.

Ariane M.A: The BEST, açaí in town. I’m brazilian, and I LOVE açaí, one day I woke up frustrated, cause I’ve necer tried a good and real açaí in Barcelona. So I discovered Oakberry had opened a new store (at that time in Barceloneta), and now they have 2 more stores, much closer to my place, one in Gracia and this one that’s really near my place ♥️ the store is cozy, the staff is awesome and the açaí is absolutely DELICIOUS. Try it and you won’t regret.
Response: Hi Ariane!! Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it. One of the first clients in Barceloneta =) You are very welcome at any of our stores!!

Sergi B: People attending is so nice and helpful. Açaí bowl is also the one I like the most. And it can be all vegan. Love this place! Vegetarian options: Vegan options
Response: Many thanks!! 🤩

David Cobos Zara: Açai Bowls with a wide variety of different toppings. You can put as many toppings as you want at no extra cost.Very refreshing for the summer months
Response: Thank you David! Hope to see you back soon!

Cláudia Zen: Absolutely the best açaí in Barcelona! Delicious, rich and with a great price. You have a variety of toppings to go with your açaí bowl and it is unlimited, you can have it all if you want to! Customer service is the best, staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. Definetely a place worth to visit and try :)
Response: Claudia, thank you for you review. You can create your own açai bowl... definitely a superfood! We hope to see you back soon!
